We spent a lovely 1.5 hours with Tom in his black cab while he took us around Belfast and explained in detail ( too much to recall all) about the past of the political situation that occurred in Belfast. The experience and detail of this tour was outstanding. We forgot a jacket in his black taxi and he delivered it back the next day to our hotel. Good man Tom and thanks.

Our group of 6 had a wonderful private Causeway tour with John. He adjusted the itinerary based on what we wanted, and regaled us with legends and knowledge about the area and locations we visited. Our children (age 7-12) didn’t love the driving, but said it was worth it to see the Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle, and the Giant’s Causeway. We were also very pleased with the pub John took us to for lunch. Five Stars all around!
Our guide Tommy did a wonderful job in trying to explain a complicated period of Irish history in a balanced way. He clearly stated the facts and when it was an opinion or a ‘wondering’. The tour is sobering for visitors but well worthwhile in doing. Thoroughly recommend it!

We did a black taxi “troubles” tour with Tommy and it was the best money we’ve ever spent. How did we not know all this information and we only lived 40 minutes away? Tommy had us interested and engaged from the moment we met him. His knowledge and stories on the troubles will blow you away. He was so animated and even though he probably has done this tour a million times, it was if he was giving the tour for the first time. He was everything you would expect from a proper northern Irish man or a man from the North of Ireland, (we’ll let Tommy explain the rest ). It was a thought provoking, emotional tour that we will remember for a long long time. It was our Friends birthday and Tommy even had her a birthday sign on the window for when she arrived. He really went that extra mile for us. Our favourite part of the tour was getting to sign the peace wall or the peace line ( again we will let Tommy explain). It was just absolutely fantastic. Another very important detail is that, he told the story of the troubles from both sides and remained neutral throughout. actually some of the information we found out shocked us & changed our minds on how we see things. If you are ever in Belfast City for the day with your friends, family or a special occasion, do yourself a favour & book this tour with Tommy! A top bloke, who knows his stuff! I took the Belfast city tour and it was excellent.
The tour was informative, interesting and gave a fantastic overview of the history of the city as well as the main sites of interest. We were given the choice to view specific areas if we so wished and any and all questions were answered. As well as this we had different stops along the way where we were given in depth knowledge of the specific location and we were also given the chance to get photographs. I would highly highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belfast City.

Tommy was fantastic, before leaving for the tour he gave us a fascinating history lesson on the complicated troubles in NI over 100’s of years. This set the scene and the next 90 minutes which gave us the most insightful unbiased understanding of NI to date.
Tommy is friendly, funny, knowledgeable and explained the history and meaning behind each mural, along with a whole host of key information.

My husband and I headed to Belfast for a few days and decided to do the black taxi mural tour. We had the pleasure of meeting our tour guide Tommy at the hotel. For the next couple of hours we had a very unbiased tour of the murals. This gentleman had a natural way of telling us the story of the history of the troubles pointing out the complexities of both religions. I would highly recommend the Black Taxi Sightseeing Tour. The tour is a great way of getting introduced to Belfast and to reaching the key landmarks. Not at any moment, did we feel rushed and Tommy gave us a good bit of extra time to ensure that everything was covered.
